Team Lead - Antibody Engineering

Proclinical are recruiting a Team Lead - Antibody Engineering for a pharmaceutical organisation. This role is on a permanent basis and is located in the UK. The client is focused on getting ahead of illnesses.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for plasmid production, antibody humanisations and bespoke engineering in the MDE group.
• Form ability around antibody protein design and engineering.
• You will inspire and motivate a team of around 5-6 scientists.
• Assist and recognise development prospects to allow individuals to realise their full potential.
• The ideal candidate will exhibit scientific leadership on antibody engineering.
• Uphold solid relationships with any other groups within biopharma discovery and development.
• Responsible for distributing the portfolio and developing and implementing the method of the group as a member of the MDE leadership team.
• Other duties may be assigned to this role.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Educated to an advanced degree level with acquaintance with antibody engineering, molecular biology, structural biology or a similar field.
• Comprehension of molecular design, developability criteria, and antibody sequence/structure-functional relationships.
• Comprehension of the antibody discovery procedure and crucial quality qualities of biopharmaceuticals.
• Familiarity with working with and prioritising a portfolio of actions.
• Capable of critiquing scientific data with the ability to recognise and solve challenging scientific queries.
• Able to work efficiently in multi-disciplinary teams with interpersonal abilities.
• Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Exhibited line/matrix leadership abilities.
• Prior involvement in structural biology.
• Excitement for the implementation of automation and/or data solutions to molecular biology/design procedures.
