Proclinical is working alongside a growing sterile pharmaceutical operation in Birmingham, Alabama who are seeking a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to support the preparation of high quality compounded medications in a highly regulated cleanroom environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacy technician with hands on sterile compounding experience who wants to develop further within a structured, quality focused pharmaceutical setting. Candidates with hospital, infusion, oncology, 503A or 503B compounding experience are encouraged to apply.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Active Pharmacy Technician registration in good standing
  • Hands on sterile compounding experience
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and cleanroom practices
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed procedures
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast paced, highly regulated environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous 503B sterile compounding experience
  • Experience within hospital, oncology, infusion or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of USP <797>, USP <800>, cGMP and FDA requirements
  • PTCB certification

The Sterile Compound Technician's responsibilities will be:

  • Prepare, weigh, mix and compound sterile pharmaceutical products using approved procedures
  • Work within controlled cleanroom environments, including ISO 5 and ISO 7 areas
  • Follow aseptic technique, USP <797>, cGMP, FDA and internal quality requirements
  • Operate and monitor compounding and filling equipment
  • Complete batch records, manufacturing documentation and inventory records accurately
  • Inspect materials, equipment and finished preparations to ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow established cleaning procedures
  • Manage product inventory, supplies and materials
  • Work efficiently and accurately within production timelines and volume requirements
  • Follow all standard operating procedures and safety requirements

Compensation:

  • $20 to $24 per hour, depending on experience.
