Senior Account Manager- Permanent - San Francisco Bay, California

Proclinical is seeking a Senior Account Manager for a leading global life sciences company. This is a permanent position based in San Francisco Bay and is a hybrid role with 50% travel required.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's sales and accounts within the assigned area. This role involves developing customer relations, recognising growth opportunities and ensuring market penetration and profitability.

Skills & Requirements:

  • A Degree in a Life Sciences field at Bachelor's level.
  • Commercial experience in Synthetic Biology with a proven track record in account management.
  • Strong understanding of the Genomics industry and familiarity with common lab techniques.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Proven knowledge of creating and implementing successful strategies using a consultative approach.
  • Negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

The Senior Account Manager's responsibilities will be:

  • Manage sales and account activities for all assigned locations, defining and driving sales strategies.
  • Develop and implement territory development plans, coordinating resources to drive team selling.
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to add value and address customer needs.
  • Consistently exceed sales targets by proactively managing a robust sales pipeline.
  • Provide forecasts, weekly reports, and marketing intelligence to managers and stakeholders.
  • Nurture and maintain long-term client relationships through effective account management.
  • Maintain customer and account information within the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies, execute sales initiatives, and address customer needs.

Compensation:

  • $140,000 annually
