Senior Research Scientist - Contract - Tarrytown, NY

Proclinical is seeking a Sr. Research Scientist to join a multidisciplinary research team supporting the discovery and development of innovative therapeutic candidates. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to translational research programs by generating high-quality scientific data and collaborating across functional teams to support research objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will play a key role in discovering and characterizing novel targets, contributing to impactful scientific discoveries that aim to benefit patients.
Skills & Requirements:
- Hands-on experience in immuno-oncology lab research, including proper handling and care of mice, tumor implantation, syngeneic and xenogeneic tumor models, and related surgical techniques.
- Proficiency in tissue processing, immune cell purification, multi-parameter flow cytometry (FACS), and cell-based bioassays.
- Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, GraphPad Prism, and FlowJo-OMIQ for biological data collection and analysis.
- Demonstrated expertise in cellular and molecular biology techniques, with the ability to independently design and execute experiments, analyze data, and present findings.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
The Sr. Research Scientist's responsibilities will be:
- Perform tumor implantation in mice, measure tumor growth, conduct injections via various routes, and carry out general surgical techniques.
- Collect and process blood and tissue samples, purify immune cells, and develop in vitro cell-based bioassays using primary mouse and human cells.
- Investigate tumor microenvironment components using multi-parameter flow cytometry.
- Independently design, plan, and execute experiments while maintaining accurate electronic records.
- Analyze, interpret, and effectively communicate results during internal and external meetings.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate complex in vivo experiments and support cross-functional efforts across departments.
