Proclinical is seeking a Senior Medical Affairs Director for Southern Europe. This role involves providing country perspectives in the European medical affairs strategy and aligning with the company's medical affairs goals, objectives, and strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for all local medical activities, including pharmacovigilance, regulatory, and government affairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in building the European medical affairs organisational structure.
  • Interface with EU Oncology Commercial Operations and Global Oncology medical and commercial leadership.
  • Contribute to the development of EU strategies and tactics.
  • Function as the contact for National Oncology Associations and regulatory authorities.
  • Define country HEOR strategy including real-world evidence generation in collaboration with Market Access.
  • Establish, develop and manage collaborative relationships with key medical experts and opinion leaders.
  • Ensure all activities required by pharmacovigilance and risk management are planned, set-up and pursued in accordance with respective local laws.
  • Facilitate any Early Access Program (EAP) to address high unmet medical needs.
  • Provide medical expertise in all regulatory and reimbursement approval processes within their region.
  • Deliver on action plans meeting deliverables on time, and identify key performance indicators showing progress.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • PhD or Physician (MD) with Oncology experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or clinical development/research organisation with leadership/executive role experience.
  • Exhibited comprehensive oncology experience.
  • Previous regional (multiple countries in Europe) experience.
  • Proficient working with Commercial, Market Access and R&D functions.
  • Knowledgeable and current in French regulation and reimbursement.
  • Outstanding leadership skills and ability to think strategically.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams).
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
