Senior Manager of Operations - Permanent - Lindon, Utah

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Manager of Operations. This is a permanent position for a manufacturing site based in Lindon, Utah.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be accountable for overseeing the site's performance in terms of safety, sustainability, costs and quality. This role also involves driving employee engagement and fostering an inclusive workforce. The successful candidate will also be responsible for translating operational manufacturing plans into financial performance, ensuring financial goal achievement in balance with inventory strategy.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant field. An MBA is highly desired.
  • A certification in Lean/Six Sigma Black belt is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001, data integrity and GMP.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead attainment of bold objectives for HSE, Quality, Service, and Cost.
  • Well-developed understanding of, and proven experience deploying in a Lean manufacturing environment.

The Senior Manager of Operations' responsibilities will be:

  • Lead the Operations team members through setting objectives, supervising their progress, and supporting team development.
  • Ensure employee engagement and a performance-driven culture through role modelling of leadership behaviors and company principles. Develop and implement site Operations strategy in collaboration with Global Operations.
  • Establish, align, and deploy effective metrics and goals through the manufacturing organization.
  • Accountable for achieving production schedules through effective management of materials, equipment, and human resources.
  • Lead the Site Operations P & L and provide vital inputs to annual AOP.
  • Work with Global Supply Chain and Global Procurement organizations to optimize current supply chain.
  • Deploy Lean & Six Sigma methodologies into operations to support overall continuous improvement journey.
  • Proactively manage risks to employee safety, customer supply, business continuity, financial performance, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop capital plan for operations with appropriate justification and cases.
  • Ensure effective planning, project management, and initiative portfolio management methodologies are deployed.
