Proclinical is advertising a vacancy for a Senior Biostatistician position with a leading clinical research organisation (CRO). The company provides Phase I-IV clinical development services to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. Based in the company's office in London, this position is an exciting opportunity to work with a company that leverages local regulatory and deep therapeutic expertise across multiple major pharmaceutical areas.
The Senior Biostatistician will lead the Biostatistics activities for one or more clinical trial projects, ensuring that work is completed within the defined time frames to appropriate quality levels, and presenting the Biostatistics function at conferences, external non study meetings, and bid defence meetings.
Job Responsibilities:
- Contributing to the clinical development of plan preparation.
- Reviewing study protocols and preparing statistical methodologies.
- Programming study analysis, reviewing study results, and preparing statistical methods sections for clinical/statistical reports.
- Communicating project requirements for CRF design, database design, and database cleanup to ensure the key study variables are suitable for analysis.
- Communicating statistical results to medical writing personnel to ensure accurate interpretation.
Skills and Requirements:
- A Ph.D. degree in Biostatistics/Statistics with strong experience in SAS Programming or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or CRO setting.
- Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements/guidelines for drug development.
- Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
- Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
- Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
