Research Specialist A/B/C

Research Specialist - Permanent - Philadelphia, PA

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Research Specialist to join a Hematology/Oncology department. This position can be A, B or C level.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be involved in exciting projects investigating the evolution and biology of HIV and SIV. This role will primarily focus on the isolation and characterization of HIV-1 and related simian-human immunodeficiency virus (SHIV) chimeras.

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Familiarity with research and clinical study methodologies.
• Proficiency in DNA/RNA extraction, cloning, and genetic characterization.
• Experience with PCR protocols, next generation sequencing library preparation, and western blotting.
• Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

The Research Specialist's responsibilities will be:

• Conducting experiments to meet research project objectives under close supervision.
• Assisting in laboratory experiments and clinical studies for product or material formulation and development.
• Managing daily laboratory equipment, documentations, and processes to ensure all is compliant with regulations and timely completion of project/program deliverables.
• Collaborating closely with Senior Research Specialists and Principal Investigator (PI) on experimental/clinical work setups in accordance with established protocols.
