R&D Engineer - Materials

Proclinical are recruiting for a R&D Engineer - Materials for a medical technology and devices organisation. This role is on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:

• Guide the research and development of new polymer coating formulations and procedures, guaranteeing compliance with stringent regulatory standards.
• You will stay present with developing industry regulations, advancements in polymer coatings, and pertinent manufacturing technologies in regulated settings.
• Responsible for developing and upholding meticulous documentation, which involves SOPs and comprehensive technical reports.
• Work alongside the cross-functional teams to integrate coating procedures into regulated product lines, upholding the highest quality standards.
• The ideal candidate will navigate and solve coating-connected concerns, focusing on compliance and data-driven decision making.
• Other duties may be assigned to this role.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Educated to a degree level in a chemical engineer, materials science, or similar discipline, though a MS or PhD would be ideal.
• Familiarity with developing polymer coatings in highly regulated settings, for example: medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
• Competent in designing and implementing in the constraints of regulatory needs.
• Know-how of polymer chemistry, coating practices, and rigorous characterisation strategies in regulated contexts.
• Acquaintance with process scale-up and technology transfer while upholding regulatory adherence.
• Past involvement with quality control procedures and strategies in regulated organisations.
• Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Works well with others.
• Able to resolve issued with a high attention to detail.
• A novel mindset with the capacity to adapt to new challenged while maintain regulatory standards.
