Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Chemist to play a crucial role in developing quality standards, ensuring this is in line with regulatory specifications and fostering effective cross-departmental collaboration. This role is based in Waterford, Ireland and is an office-based role.

Responsibilities:

  • Supply the site with support and assistance.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments on matters related to raw materials, intermediates and finished batch releases.
  • Support, develop and execute chemical specifications and SOP's in compliance with pharmacopoeia's and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with training of analysts in areas of expertise and knowledge, and in new methods, SOP's, and updates.
  • Trend results, record on COA's where required and complete OOS's investigations in a timely manner.
  • Communicate potential problems and improvements to the QC Team Leader.
  • Guarantee that all quality documentation and records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Ensure the QC laboratories meet current Good Laboratory Practice (cGLP) requirements.
  • Audit and review chemistry test results daily and ensure compliance with cGLP.
  • Check and audit laboratory notebooks and analytical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP at all times.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry.
  • Familiarity with pharmacopoeia and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with quality control and good laboratory practices.
  • Ability to audit and review test results.
  • Familiarity with cGMP.
