Join a major Site Master Plan initiative where your engineering leadership will help bring a critical pharmaceutical facility to life.
Proclinical is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support a high-impact project in Switzerland. This role focuses on managing a significant capital project as part of a Site Master Plan, with an emphasis on facility construction, commissioning, qualification, and handover. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of the project across all phases.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.
Responsibilities:
- Lead large-scale capital projects from planning through commissioning and handover.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering strategies to meet schedule, budget, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a senior technical authority, reviewing and approving design changes and technical submittals.
- Oversee multimillion-dollar budgets, monitor costs, and participate in contractor selection and evaluation.
- Develop project schedules, identify critical path items, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide on-site engineering oversight during construction and commissioning, ensuring alignment with design intent and safety standards.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and prepare executive-level status updates and technical summaries.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management (Master's preferred).
- Experience leading capital projects in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or medical devices.
- Strong technical judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and complex contractor relationships.
- Familiarity with regulatory expectations for facilities in regulated industries.
- Proficiency in project management tools and engineering documentation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills for cross-functional and executive interactions.
- Proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 10%).
