Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and strategic Production Planner for a large scale Manufacturing company. This role involves developing and coordinating operational activities, creating detailed plans for production, maintenance and resource planning as well as proactively developing strategies to anticipate potential supply bottlenecks. The successful candidate will also be responsible for improving planning accuracy and developing the planning strategy for the Manufacturing Complex Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an integrated plan to coordinate all operational activities within the Manufacturing Complex.
  • Coordinate and plan tasks and requirements of different areas such as Procurement Planning, Manufacturing Complex Leadership Team and Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering, Global Engineering, and Client Services.
  • Develop and own the Summary Production Schedule (SPS).
  • Develop detailed plans for production planning, maintenance planning, resource planning, and availability of plant and equipment.
  • Proactively develop strategies to anticipate or counteract possible future supply bottlenecks.
  • Develop measures to improve planning accuracy.
  • Develop, maintain and train on the scheduling tool/system and its use in executing operations in the facility.
  • Develop the planning strategy for Manufacturing Complex 2 Operations.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply chain or biotechnology or in an equivalent field.
  • Professional experience in a production environment (GMP), experience on the shop floor in a biologics operation is a distinct advantage.
  • Proficiency in English and knowledge of German is an advantage.
  • Expert knowledge of SAP ERP/MRP and MES systems.
  • Proficiency in creating an integrated schedule in planning software such as Orchestrate, Schedule Pro, or Aspen planning.
  • Proficient knowledge of Office programs, especially MS Project.
  • Experience with scheduling/capacity optimization programs is desirable.
  • Experience in supply planning in pharmaceuticals or biotechnology is an advantage.
