Proclinical are recruiting a Principal Scientist Translational Pharmacology for a biotech organisation. This role is on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Recognise crucial scientific queries within the projects and form translation science plan rendering to their priority level.
  • Guarantee alignment of priorities with clinical development method.
  • Recognise most pertinent models, mediate with the best CRO and engage with any other divisions are the company such as PK, anapath, etc., to guarantee optimal protocol design.
  • Handle outsourcing procedure rendering to the company's SOPs such as budget, contracts, etc.
  • Form open relationship with his/her peers with the external associates.
  • You will clearly recognise risks and mitigation plans.
  • The ideal candidate will comply with suitable EHS guidelines and processes.
  • Other assigned duties.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Educated to a PhD degree level in a life science field, ideally in oncology or immuno-oncology.
  • Willing to travel for business needs up to 25% of the time.
  • A mixture of pertinent education and suitable work experience might be taken into consideration.
  • At least 10+ years of experience within drug development within the pharmaceutical or biotech organisation with at least 5+ years of experience within oncology drug discovery.
  • Fluency in both the English and French languages.
  • Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Capable with in vivo pharmacology actions/technologies, which involves hemato-oncology.
  • Expertise on drug discovery procedures and challenges, which involves drug candidate recognition/selection.
  • Able to develop new techniques and strategies.
  • Knowledge in cell culture, cellular and molecular biology, immunology and biochemistry strategies.
  • Comprehension of the role of translational science and biomarkers in drug development.
  • Acquaintance with the suitable implementation of multiple scientific technologies into translational research methods.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting or guiding a matrix team.
  • Capable of identifying, articulating, and accepting calculated risks to make educated decisions.
  • Expertise on all functional areas of drug development, which involves pharmacology, toxicology, clinical development, diagnostic development, etc.
  • Able to think analytically with the ability to resolve issues.
  • Prior involvement with GCP and GLP.
  • Familiarity working with CROs.
  • Keen to learn and develop self.
  • Know-how of animal ethics needs.
