Phlebotomist - Contract - Wilmington, DE
Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Specimen Collection Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will focus on greeting and identifying patients, obtaining necessary billing and testing information, and ensuring proper test collection procedures are followed. This position requires attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assemble and handle specimen collection equipment.
- Familiarity with test requisition processes and requirements.
The Phlebotomist will:
- Greet and identify patients following standard operating procedures.
- Obtain billing and testing information accurately.
- Review test requisitions to ensure proper test collection.
- Assemble necessary equipment for specimen collection.
- Collect specimens for drug testing in accordance with SOPs and the order of draw.
- Match requisitions with collected tubes to ensure completion.
