Phlebotomist - Contract - Wilmington, DE
Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for the role of Phlebotomist in a Health Care company.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent patient service, including greeting and identifying patients, obtaining billing and testing information, and ensuring proper test collection. This role also involves handling customer service duties such as responding to phone inquiries and patient encounters.
Skills & Requirements:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Familiarity with medical equipment and testing procedures.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
The Phlebotomist responsibilities will be:
- Greet and identify patients according to standard operating procedures.
- Obtain billing and testing information as per guidelines.
- Review test requisition for proper test collection.
- Assemble necessary equipment for specimen collection.
- Collect specimens for drug testing according to standard operating procedures.
- Match requisition to collection of tubes for completion.
- Operate centrifuge when necessary.
- Perform regular maintenance and quality control on test kits and urinalysis equipment.
- Prepare and package specimens for shipping to testing location.
- Handle customer service duties including phone inquiries and patient encounters.
- Collect patient payments according to standard operating procedures.
