An international environmental services company is seeking to recruit a Pharma Product Manager/Water Treatment to their Italian office. This organisation designs and provides water, waste, and energy management solutions which contribute to the sustainable development of communities and industries. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an organisation dedicated to providing access to resources whilst preserving and replenishing existing resources.
This position's primary purpose is to be responsible for market strategy, product and service portfolios, sales enablement and growth, and future product range development of a range of distillation and clean steam products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting Business Units (BU) worldwide who are engaged in the Pharmaceutical and Cosmetics markets with the sales, technical knowledge, and motivation necessary to issue proposals and then win orders.
- Coordinating with Technical Manager and 3rd party manufacturer to ensure:
- The technical and commercial accuracy of specifications being proposed.
- Orders placed upon the 3rd party manufacturer by BUs are clear, complete, and priced correctly in line with the current price list and manufacturing agreement.
- Closely coordinating with all parties to ensure the project deliverables are fully clarified and closed out and the sales promise has been fully executed to the satisfaction of the end user client.
- Attending the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) on behalf of the ordering BU, or as a substitute to the Technical Manager.
- Collaborating with the Technical Manager, providing assistance to the BUs in resolving any warranty or performance related matters which are either disputed or unable to be resolved by the supplier.
- Providing comprehensive training programmes on products, complete with support documentation and drawings, using the existing demonstration models available for such training, or live products (during witnessed FAT) at the manufacturer's premises.
- Training BU staff (especially sales, marketing and design proposals staff) who will need to know key design and regulatory aspects of the Pharma GMP environment, such as:
- Designing and pricing systems encompassing technology
- How to differentiate and win against competitive suppliers
- Packaging service offerings to support long-term customer relations.
- Training Company clients and/or consultants on aspects or design, operation, and service.
- Maintaining an accurate summary of all orders and enquiries in the CRM, a monthly status report commenting on orders won and lost, and an update on priorities and forecast for the next reporting period.
- Providing monthly updates on any other significant market development activity e.g. customer issues, competition, regulations, new technology etc.
- Providing an annual report summarizing global and regional market trends and company performance as a whole and by BU - including performance against budgeted targets and any action plans necessary to achieve the targeted results in future.
- Maintaining strong awareness of global market standards and developments in regulatory, market attitude, and competitor offering to ensure that the company remains at the forefront for both technology and commercial competitiveness.
- Visiting client sites with local BUs from time to time to understand their local market needs and sales potential and preparing promotional material (eg visual presentations or written articles for publishing) for use in marketing.
- Participating in Pharma market strategy and communication meetings.
- Assisting with marketing programs such as seminars, presenting papers, and exhibitions as required.
- Working with 3rd party Technical, R&D, or Engineering departments in the development of new product/product improvement trials and the marketing of new technologies.
- Assisting in negotiating, drawing up, or revising supply or commercial agreements (including confidentiality and NDA agreements).
Skills and Requirements:
- Literate Technical Degree - advantageous to have studied fluid mechanics and heat transfer engineering Sales and marketing trained or qualified.
- Competence in professional sales and marketing practices.
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical manufacturing supply chain industry, particularly in sales, support of compendial water treatment plants, other engineered technologies.
- Strong technical and quality background in GMP manufacturing environments, coupled with a disciplined approach to building and maintaining design, sales, and marketing files in line with company and pharma market standards. Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
- Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
- Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
