Proclinical is seeking a dynamic National Sales Manager to lead the strategic and operational sales functions for oncology brands in the London. This role involves developing a go-to-market model, recruiting and training a top-tier sales team, and setting plans to exceed sales targets in both private and NHS sectors. This position offers high autonomy and visibility, with the opportunity to influence the positioning and perception of key assets in the UK market.
Responsibilities:
- Implement national sales strategies to maximize revenue from day one.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the Key Account Manager (KAM) team.
- Regularly review territory account plans and performance.
- Ensure CRM systems and dashboards provide accurate data and insights.
- Support marketing on national tactics and omnichannel plans.
- Build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across the UK.
- Identify data gaps and communicate with Market Access and Medical Teams.
- Manage territory and national budgets for field-based activities.
- Lead the development and execution of quarterly sales meetings.
- Establish and agree on the purpose and frequency of field visits.
- Focus on coaching individual performance and development.
- Identify common training needs and develop training plans.
- Act as a proactive member of the commercial leadership team.
- Collaborate on cross-functional in-market projects.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and the ABPI code of practice.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in oncology sales.
- Background in training and/or organizational development.
- Experience launching oncology products in the UK market.
- Degree in life sciences or related field.
- ABPI qualification.
- Strong product, therapy area, and competitor knowledge.
- Proven track record in account planning, project management, and delivering sales targets.
- In-depth knowledge of the NHS environment and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Experience in engaging and developing KOLs in oncology.
- Proficient in creating onboarding programs for new hires.
- Ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
