A leading biotechnology research organization is seeking to recruit a Manufacturing Specialist III. Based in Pennsylvania, this establishment is renowned for their focus on developing next-generation gene transfer vectors and their application in the treatment of a variety of acquired and inherited diseases. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a company that is riven by the unmet needs of patients with genetic diseases.
Job Responsibilities:
- Completing experiments to validate new or updated upstream manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshooting experiments and processing protocols/SOP's and batch records.
- Working both independently and as part of a team to accomplish project goals within specified timelines.
Skills and Requirements:
- BS Degree in Biochemical/Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, or related disciplines with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in cell culturing/cell banks/cell stacks.
- Experience in biologics manufacturing preferred.
- Knowledge of process development concepts for biological manufacturing; basic principles of various engineering disciplines helpful.
- Successful candidates will have a familiarity with upstream and downstream biologics manufacturing.
- Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
- Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
- Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
