Manufacturing Specialist III

A leading biotechnology research organization is seeking to recruit a Manufacturing Specialist III. Based in Pennsylvania, this establishment is renowned for their focus on developing next-generation gene transfer vectors and their application in the treatment of a variety of acquired and inherited diseases. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a company that is riven by the unmet needs of patients with genetic diseases.

Job Responsibilities:

• Completing experiments to validate new or updated upstream manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshooting experiments and processing protocols/SOP's and batch records.
• Working both independently and as part of a team to accomplish project goals within specified timelines.

Skills and Requirements:

• BS Degree in Biochemical/Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, or related disciplines with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in cell culturing/cell banks/cell stacks.
• Experience in biologics manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of process development concepts for biological manufacturing; basic principles of various engineering disciplines helpful.
• Successful candidates will have a familiarity with upstream and downstream biologics manufacturing.

• Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
• Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
• Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
