An internationally renowned pharmaceutical company is advertising with Proclinical to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to their Swiss-based office. This top 10 company, which works across a range of industries from medical devices to pharmaceutical and consumer goods and operates in over 60 countries, is looking for an exceptionally talented individual to join their team Manufacturing Engineer.
The Manufacturing Engineer will act in the framework of a global validation strategy and support process characterisation activities in the Surface Technology area. They will implement new finishing technology, which involves the acquisition of new equipment and set up of new processes, and will leverage on existing information, knowledge, and high-level concepts. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for writing test protocols and document the process characterisation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Planning of process characterisation leading to, and enabling, a globally harmonised efficient validation strategy of new finishing technologies for Pre-Cleaning, Etching/pickling, Anodizing, Electropolishing, Passivation, Final Rinse, and Drying.
- Preparing and executing of planned studies.
- Documenting the executed studies in controlled documents.
- Reporting on progress, problems, and successes in the global project teams.
- Adhering to Corporate, Franchise, Statutory, Legislative, and Regulatory requirements for GMP, GDP, HSE, and Quality.
- Applying Project Execution best practices and principles to enable efficient project progress.
- Developing collaborative and functional partnerships inside and outside the Modular Finish Program.
- Supporting collaboration with eternal and internal business partners to overcome blockages and facilitating integration in this matrixed function.
- Maintaining a sense of urgency and customer focus within the Surface Technology team.
Skills and Requirements:
- At least a bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 1 years' experience in Materials Science in an Operations, Engineering, or Development environment.
- Previous project management expertise developing and/or characterising processes.
- Previous R&D management experience in the medical device sector.
- Basic to advanced experience in statistical techniques and evaluations.
- Experience in an international environment and in matrixed roles within a Surface Technology field.
- Fluency in English with German a desirable bonus.
- Strong influencing, communication, and persuasion skills.
- Strong problem solving, decision making, and organisational skills.
