Proclinical is seeking a Lab Technician Consultant to join a research team in the UK. This role focuses on supporting laboratory operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of daily activities in a research environment. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to sterile techniques, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare reagents, including LB broth, LB agar plates, and buffers.
- Perform aliquoting using sterile techniques, such as for tissue culture reagents.
- Conduct general housekeeping tasks, including refilling consumables at workstations.
- Prepare items for washing and autoclaving, and coordinate with service providers.
- Support waste disposal processes, ensuring compliance with local rules and proper recycling practices.
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment in collaboration with the lab team.
- Regularly clean and maintain equipment and laboratory spaces.
- Unload and store daily deliveries efficiently.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Hands-on laboratory experience, particularly with sterile techniques.
- Familiarity with reagent preparation and general lab maintenance tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team to uphold a clean and safe lab environment.
- Commitment to following waste disposal and recycling protocols.
