Looking for a new challenge where you can influence medical strategy, educate stakeholders, and drive evidence generation across the DACH market?

Proclinical is seeking a Head of Medical Affairs DACH to lead and execute medical strategies across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This role focuses on developing medical plans aligned with business objectives, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and driving impactful medical education, evidence generation, and stakeholder engagement. Fluency in German at C1 level or higher is essential for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee regional employees, providing direction and oversight for projects and objectives.
  • Create and implement strategies at the country and regional levels, ensuring alignment with go-to-market plans.
  • Lead medical education initiatives, including online, in-person, and blended offerings, webinars, peer-to-peer training, congresses, symposiums, and product training.
  • Strategize and inform evidence generation plans to support market access, regulatory, and marketing needs.
  • Support local execution of company-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials.
  • Disseminate clinical evidence within local markets.
  • Identify and engage healthcare professionals (HCPs) through advisory boards, clinical activities, scientific exchanges, and educational events.
  • Establish and maintain peer-to-peer scientific relationships with national and regional key opinion leaders (KOLs).
  • Build advocacy among external influencers and share knowledge about current and future products with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate clinical data into actionable insights and claims.
  • Review and approve externally-facing materials for scientific and medical accuracy.
  • Address HCP medical queries and ensure compliance with ethical standards.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or MS in life sciences) or equivalent.
  • Experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry, preferably in diabetes or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of diabetes disease state, treatment landscape, and clinical research.
  • Familiarity with medical practices and clinical decision-making in the DACH region.
  • Proven leadership in developing and implementing medical strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English; French language skills are a plus.
  • Broad knowledge of international commercial and regulatory environments for medical devices.
  • Strategic thinking combined with strong execution capabilities.
  • Ability to lead and influence in a cross-functional environment.
  • High ethical standards in professional interactions.
