Proclinical is seeking a Global Expert in Real Estate Transactions for an interim position. This role is integral to the Global Capital Investment and Real Estate team, focusing on strategy, coordination, delivery and performance across all Real Estate transactions. The successful candidate will ensure best practice, best value and governance-compliant Real Estate transactions and strategies are delivered across the portfolio. This role also involves internal stakeholder alignment, cross-functional coordination and vendor performance management for Real Estate transaction management, brokerage and portfolio strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Real Estate portfolio strategies at global/regional/local levels.
- Identify optimisation opportunities across the portfolio, using current and new datasets.
- Lead portfolio optimisation projects, including lease acquisition/renewal/disposal, site/building acquisition/disposal.
- Guide all aspects of Real Estate transactions, from requirement definition to executed lease agreement or purchase/sale documentation.
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with real estate transactions and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide Real Estate transaction expertise to internal stakeholders.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders on Real Estate transactions.
- Support appropriate use of the Global Real Estate Service Agreement (GRESA) across the organization, ensuring GRESA SLAs and target KPIs are achieved on all Real Estate transactions.
- Manage GRESA vendor to ensure best practice, high quality Real Estate transaction delivery and transaction management.
- Monitor Real Estate transaction KPIs, documenting lessons learned and recommending corrective actions where necessary.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- University level education (BA/BSc or equivalent) in Real Estate or a related field.
- Extensive experience leading global real estate transaction strategies
- Experience leading portfolio optimisation projects, including lease acquisition/renewal/disposal, site/building acquisition/disposal.
- International experience across several companies and cultures.
- Deep understanding of vendor operating models and ability to drive strong vendor performance.
- Membership or Fellowship of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors is a plus.
- Strategic and logical approach with the ability to influence and negotiate at a senior level.
- Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix organisation.
- Clear and transparent decision making.
- Excellent leadership in a matrix organisation without direct reporting lines.
- High sense of and desire for continuous improvement, strong systematic thinking.
