Keeping precision laser technology running at peak performance through expert hands‑on engineering.
Proclinical is seeking a Field Service Engineer (FSE) to join a dynamic team in the dermatology and medical devices sector. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer support, ensuring the effective installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced laser systems and related equipment. You will play a key role in empowering customers to confidently operate and maintain their systems while contributing to the company's reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair laser systems, subsystems, and sub-assemblies at customer sites or service centers.
- Perform product alignment and certification to specifications.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with company procedures for inventory, spare parts, and returns.
- Provide on-site technical support at customer premises, service centers, and events across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
- Assist sales teams by offering technical insights during customer presentations and advising on maintenance schedules.
- Monitor and address potential issues such as delays, equipment challenges, or complex problems, keeping the service manager informed.
- Build strong relationships with customers, fostering trust and preference for the company's products and services.
- Participate in workshops and training sessions to stay updated on industry developments and departmental strategies.
- Manage and maintain company-assigned vehicles, tools, and test equipment in good condition.
- Respond promptly to customer queries and ensure minimal service recalls.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Background in electronics or electrical engineering, with hands-on experience in servicing lasers or similar equipment.
- Knowledge of basic laser physics is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in medical electronics equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong internal and external relationships.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Willingness to travel by car, including overnight stays when necessary.
