Proclinical are recruiting for a Financial Accounting Manager to join a pharmaceutical organisation. This role is on a permanent basis and is located in Munich.

Responsibilities:

Uphold the financial ledger in compliance with group accounting policy such as HGB & U.S. GAAP, local tax codes and government guidelines.
Handle the process of statutory account archiving, which involves local entity management of the audit procedure.
Offer financial training, supervising and direction in the finance team.
You will book journals for example: accruals, fixed assets, stock/inventory, accounts receivables, revenues, accounts payables, expenses in compliance with accounting policy.
Guarantee precision of GL accounting and all financial reports, timely account reconciliations, etc.
Perform routine balance sheet, P&L evaluations and variance analysis, arrangement of monthly close actions, etc.
Other duties may be assigned.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Educated to a degree level with demonstrable experience in corporate finance or accounting, as well as within a life science and/or biotech organisation which would be ideal.
Comprehension of US GAAP.
Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
Fluency in both German and English language.
Works well in a team setting both cross-functionally and within a matrix.
Able to think analytically with the ability to resolve issues.
Capable of changing priorities and deadlines.
Presentation abilities within financial data with a high attention to detail.
