Financial Accounting Manager

Proclinical are recruiting for a Financial Accounting Manager to join a pharmaceutical organisation. This role is on a permanent basis and is located in Munich.

Responsibilities:

• Uphold the financial ledger in compliance with group accounting policy such as HGB & U.S. GAAP, local tax codes and government guidelines.
• Handle the process of statutory account archiving, which involves local entity management of the audit procedure.
• Offer financial training, supervising and direction in the finance team.
• You will book journals for example: accruals, fixed assets, stock/inventory, accounts receivables, revenues, accounts payables, expenses in compliance with accounting policy.
• Guarantee precision of GL accounting and all financial reports, timely account reconciliations, etc.
• Perform routine balance sheet, P&L evaluations and variance analysis, arrangement of monthly close actions, etc.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Educated to a degree level with demonstrable experience in corporate finance or accounting, as well as within a life science and/or biotech organisation which would be ideal.
• Comprehension of US GAAP.
• Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Fluency in both German and English language.
• Works well in a team setting both cross-functionally and within a matrix.
• Able to think analytically with the ability to resolve issues.
• Capable of changing priorities and deadlines.
• Presentation abilities within financial data with a high attention to detail.
