Financial Accountant

Proclinical is seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team in Basel. This role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting the controlling community, and assisting with audits. The successful candidate must have expertise in financial operations and revenue recognition which is crucial in maintaining compliance and accuracy.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.

Responsibilities:

• Execute month-end reporting tasks for a timely financial close.
• Provide ad hoc support to the controlling community, including Record to Report, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Collaborate with the SSC Manchester team to support financial operations.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
• Support revenue recognition testing during group audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards in the revenue recognition process.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Experience in month-end closing processes.
• Ability to support audit processes and prepare necessary documentation.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition standards and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
