Proclinical is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Mechanic for a leading manufacturing and research company located in Albuquerque, NM. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the repairs and maintains the process equipment and maintenance processes for filling operations. Other responsibilities include:
Job Responsibility:
- Knowledgeable in 1 or more of the following areas; electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics, mechanical, PLC.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain Equipment Maintenance.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on vial and syringe production machinery.
- Works cooperatively with and maintains relationships with employees and other professionals.
- Supports more senior level staff during troubleshooting and investigations.
- Follows cGMPs, SOPs, and complies with all safety requirements while performing during all activities.
- Attends meetings and participates on committees as required.
- Works overtime as needed.
- Documents work performed on work orders.
- Completes routine PMs by the assigned due dates.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed by the immediate supervisor.
- Available for 24-hour on-call duty.
Skills and Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 0-2 years of related experience in a maintenance setting.
- Able to read and understand basic schematics, technical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Must be able to clearly and accurately document all work performed using electronic work order systems.
- Must be self-accountable and able to verbally communicate transparently and with a high level of integrity.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should know manufacturing software; spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
- Computer literacy with working knowledge of MS-Word/Excel and maintenance management databases.
- Some hands-on experience in operation/maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Prefer skill in working in aseptic pharmaceutical environments,
- Prefer knowledge of cGMP and regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, FDA, JP, EU, etc.) requirements.
- Assure that facility engineering drawing and associated documentation (including work orders and ECOs) are effectively and compliantly updated and maintained.
- Interpersonal skills to encourage effective interactions with peers.
- Interpersonal skills to encourage effective interactions with outside contractors. Identify areas of process improvements.
- Maintains work areas to the highest level of cleanliness.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with plant maintenance, engineering staff, and other departments as needed.
- Ability to work well independently or as a team.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a drug screen
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
