Proclinical is seeking an Epidemiology Manager for a global biopharmaceutical company located in Durham, NC.

The Epidemiology Manager will contribute to or support, in collaboration with a Director of Epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiologic studies of the use, safety and effectiveness of drugs used for the treatment or prevention of HIV.

This is a hybrid opportunity with a ton of flexibility!

Must be eligible to work in the US.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of Real-World Evidence (RWE) strategy and the asset integrated evidence planning to accomplish that strategy.
  • Work with Head of Epidemiology & Real-World Evidence/ Directors of Epidemiology to develop product specific non-interventional study protocols and conduct research studies on disease burden and drug effectiveness/safety.
  • Proactively manage project level aspects of RWE projects including management of timelines, budget, resources, and vendors.
  • Provide efficient updates on projects progress to Directors of Epidemiology.
  • Ensure potential projects risks are escalated to the attention when appropriate.
  • Contribute to the writing of proposals, literature reviews, reports, and publications.
  • Align and communicate projects results to internal and external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, technical societies, and academy.
  • Communicate with stakeholders from diverse functional areas and convey complex data in tangible business terms.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Master's level degree in epidemiology or related field of study with at least at least 3 years of relevant experience in a research organization, academic center, or pharmaceutical industry; preferably in pharmacoepidemiology, clinical epidemiology, or related area
  • Demonstrated effective communications (written, verbal and presentation skills) in a cross-functional collaborative environment
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment and flexibility in taking on and performing assignments as necessary
  • PhD or DrPH in Epidemiology
  • Knowledge of clinical research concepts, practices, and FDA regulations regarding drug development phases, clinical research, and data management methods
  • Knowledge and experience working in the HIV/PrEP disease area
