We are seeking an experienced Director / Senior Director, Medicinal Chemistry to join a stealth mode computation and AI powered small molecule drug discovery biotech based in Princeton, New Jersey. With a team of highly accomplished drug hunters, empowered by and tightly integrated with the platform, we strive to discover breakthrough medicines.

Responsibilities:

Lead drug discovery programs in effective collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
Leverage state-of-the-art computation-aided drug design techniques, in close collaboration with our modeling colleagues, to deliver high quality clinical candidates.
Interact closely with our scientific developers to assist in the creation of novel computational and machine learning methods in the buildup of our computational platform.
Manage CRO scientists to ensure timely delivery of quality scientific data.
Contribute to drug discovery target selection by thoroughly reviewing the competitive landscape and formulating execution and differentiation strategy.

Qualifications:

A PhD in Organic Chemistry or related fields, with extensive experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotech company.
Experience in structure-based drug design (SBDD).
Demonstrated accomplishments in small molecule drug discovery.
Extensive knowledge of key medicinal chemistry concepts and excellent understanding of biology, pharmacology, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Experience in other small molecule modalities such as protacs and/or molecular glues is desirable.
