Clinical Research Nurse - Permanent - Philadelphia, PA

Proclinical is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse for a leading research institute. This permanent position is located in Philadelphia, PA.

Primary Responsibilities:

The role is primarily focused on the implementation of research protocols in HIV, COVID 19, and other Infectious Diseases. The successful candidate will be responsible for patient care management, medical and medication history collection, physical assessments, and administration of investigational products. This role requires a flexible schedule, with participants seen in both clinical and home settings during various hours, including some weekends.

Skills & Requirements:

  • RN license without restriction or limitation.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a clinical setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of experience in research is preferred.
  • Recent experience with venipuncture for phlebotomy and IV infusions preferred.
  • A BSN or MSN is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational capabilities along with attention to detail, excellent follow through and problem-solving skills.
  • On-site work required.

The Clinical Research Nurse will:

  • Conduct screening visits including consents, medical histories, and evaluate eligibility for research protocol.
  • Enroll participants in research protocols after determining eligibility.
  • Administer investigational products, including IV infusions, safely and according to protocol.
  • Perform clinical evaluations, evaluating safety and identifying and reporting adverse events.
  • Collect specimens correctly, according to protocol.
  • Enter and clean data into a wide variety of databases.
  • Perform participant teaching regarding protocol requirements.
  • Participate in recruitment and community education events.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
