Clinical Research Lab Coordinator - Contract - Edmond, OK

Proclinical is seeking a Clinical Research Lab Coordinator to support the execution of research studies by managing laboratory requirements as outlined in study protocols.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role involves ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, maintaining lab equipment and supplies, and handling biological specimens. The position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high professional and ethical standards.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proficiency in phlebotomy.
  • Familiarity with lab processing is preferred.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
  • Basic understanding of OSHA requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy certification and/or relevant experience is preferred.

The Clinical Research Lab Coordinator's responsibilities will be:

  • Complete and maintain required training, including SOPs, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and IATA certification for hazardous goods shipment.
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and sponsor-specific guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure all lab equipment is in proper working condition.
  • Manage lab supplies, including ordering, inventory, and storage, to meet study requirements.
  • Review and train on lab manuals, flow charts, and package inserts before study initiation.
  • Collect, process, store, and package biological specimens for shipment as per study protocols and lab manuals.
  • Monitor and document onsite laboratory sample conditions, addressing any deviations promptly.
  • Coordinate courier pick-ups and ensure timely delivery of samples.
  • Maintain access to lab portals, resolve lab queries, and ensure lab reports are reviewed, signed, and filed appropriately.
  • Track and manage stored samples, ensuring compliance with study requirements.
  • Assist with study-related procedures, including start-up, conduct, and close-out activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

  • $18 to $24 per hour
