Proclinical is seeking a Biomarker Discovery Scientist to join a dynamic team within a Proteomics and Metabolomics Technology Platform at our client's facility. This role focuses on early biomarker identification and validation, contributing to critical projects in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional experts to drive innovation in oncology and pharmaceutical research. This is a full-time, 1-year contract position covering a planned leave, with work conducted onsite in a lab environment.

Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable targeted and untargeted protein assays using mass spectrometry (MS) and non-MS-based methods.
- Apply these assays to liquid biopsies, tissues, and in vitro models for biomarker discovery, drug target identification, and mechanism elucidation.
- Lead biomarker discovery projects across therapeutic areas, ensuring timely assay implementation, report generation, and presentation of findings to stakeholders.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on experimental study design and analytical frameworks for both in-house and outsourced activities.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- A PhD in Biochemistry or a related field.
- Experience in biomarker discovery and validation, either during PhD studies or in an industry setting.
- Proficiency in designing and executing complex studies using targeted and untargeted MS approaches, with additional experience in non-MS-based methods (e.g., Olink) preferred.
- Strong skills in processing, analyzing, and interpreting MS and non-MS data.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
- A customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and a drive for innovation.
