Proclinical is seeking a Lead Scientist with expertise in protein sciences to join its growing team in the United States. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven scientist with a strong background in cell biology, molecular biology, and protein biochemistry to contribute to innovative research programmes and support the development of novel therapeutic solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will focus on creating antibody production cell lines using mammalian expression technologies and contribute to the development of innovative methods to enhance expression platforms.
Skills & Requirements:
- Background in Immunology, Cell Biology, or Molecular Biology.
- Hands-on experience in cell culture, flow cytometry, antibody staining, and molecular biology techniques such as PCR and cloning.
- Familiarity with gene editing, lentivirus infections, CRISPR library workflows, and NGS is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
The Lead Scientist's responsibilities will be:
- Utilize mammalian expression technologies to generate regulatory-compliant stable cell lines.
- Perform aseptic cell culture handling, transfection of cell lines, and flow cytometry assays.
- Operate liquid handler platforms (e.g., Hamilton) to analyze stable cell lines.
- Conduct molecular biology and protein biochemistry techniques, including PCR, RT-PCR, plasmid sub-cloning, and genomic DNA/RNA isolation from CHO cells.
- Perform SDS-PAGE and western blotting for protein analysis.
- Independently design, conduct, and analyze multicolor flow-cytometry experiments.
