Bench Chemist - Contract - Collegeville, PA

Proclinical is recruiting for a dedicated Bench Scientist to work within the LC-MS Bioanalysis group.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis of biological samples using Liquid-Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry to deliver PK and PD endpoints for clinical studies across the portfolio. Data from this group is a key component to understanding molecules in the pipeline and serves to make early and informed decisions for asset progression within the organization.
Skills & Requirements:
- BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline
- Basic knowledge and hands-on experience with LC/MS and/or quantitative
bioanalytical methods. - Pharma experience would be a big benefit, but open to other industries
2-3+ years of experience Understanding of regulatory requirements for GLP and GCP analytical activities. - Excellent computer skills for communication and report writing.
- Experience with analysis and reporting of preclinical or clinical PK data.
- Experience handling of human biological samples.
- Proven experience and ability to troubleshoot methodological issues
- Experience utilizing laboratory information management systems for daily job
- Highly motivated team player with a proactive attitude, excellent organizational
skills and a demonstrated ability to interact effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
The Bench Chemist's responsibilities will be:
- Perform routine analysis of drugs, metabolites, and biomarkers in biological samples to applicable standards using defined analytical methods.
- Produce written analytical methods, reports, and report contributions.
- Act as a Responsible Scientist.
- Ensure that work is performed in compliance with the relevant regulations (primarily GCP), with procedures guided by applicable government regulations, and relevant SOPs.
- Handle human biological samples and perform experimental work in accordance with HBSM, safety and data integrity guidelines.
