Automation Engineer

Proclinical is seeking an Automation Engineer to contribute to impactful pharmaceutical projects by designing and commissioning DeltaV-based batch systems. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy solving complex automation challenges in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will play a critical part in ensuring compliance, optimizing processes, and delivering high-quality automation solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement DeltaV automation solutions, including hardware configuration, control modules, and graphics.
• Design and validate batch recipes in line with ISA-88 standards and GMP requirements.
• Support lifecycle management of batch processes, including optimization, troubleshooting, and change control.
• Lead commissioning activities such as FAT, SAT, and IQ-OQ protocols for automation systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver automation solutions on time and within scope.
• Ensure all automation work adheres to regulatory standards (GMP, GAMP5) and is fully documented.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Proficiency with Emerson DeltaV systems in pharmaceutical or biotech settings.
• Strong understanding of ISA-88 batch control principles.
• Hands-on experience in commissioning and qualification of automation systems.
• Familiarity with GMP, GAMP5, and pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple project timelines.
• A degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Experience with MES integration or other control platforms is a plus.
