Associate Scientist - Contract - Cranbury, NJ

Proclinical is seeking an Associate Scientist, Process Analytics to join a dynamic Analytical Development Team in New Jersey. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your knowledge of cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge bioanalytical testing to support pre-clinical and clinical-stage biologics for gene and cell therapy programs.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with some experience in cell and gene therapy research and development (industry or academic).
  • Hands-on experience with analytical methods such as cell-based assays, Western Blots, U-HPLC, ELISA, ddPCR, and Flow Cytometry.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage dynamic schedules.
  • Excellent documentation practices with a focus on data integrity.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to address issues with urgency and professionalism.

The Associate Scientist's responsibilities will be:

  • Perform routine ELISA, U-HPLC, cell-based assays, and ddPCR sample analysis to support process development, optimization, characterization, and non-GMP manufacturing.
  • Assist with assay optimization, pre-qualification, and pre-validation studies.
  • Deliver assay results promptly with thorough documentation.
  • Maintain and qualify controls and critical reagents to support daily laboratory operations.
  • Keep accurate and detailed laboratory notebooks in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day laboratory operations.
