Associate Scientist In-Vivo Pharmacology - Contract - Cambridge, Massachusetts MA

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and innovative Scientist for the role of Associate Scientist In-Vivo Pharmacology. This is a temporary contract position based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work closely with platform and program teams to evaluate and characterize compounds using in vivo rodent models. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about molecular biology and is eager to contribute to the advancement of biopharmaceutical research.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field.
  • Proficiency in molecular biology techniques including RNA/DNA/protein extraction, qPCR, and ELISA.
  • Experience in rodent handling, dosing (SubQ/IV), and blood/tissue collection and necropsy.
  • Familiarity with automation systems including liquid handlers is a plus.
  • Ability to follow SOP/IACUC, execute, analyze, interpret, troubleshoot, and optimize experiments.
  • Excellent lab technique and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Cell culture experience is desirable but not required.

The Associate Scientist In-Vivo Pharmacology responsibilities will be:

  • Collaborate with scientists to plan and execute studies, including the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of scientific results.
  • Manage data entry and analysis, ensuring timely completion and clear reporting.
  • Oversee inventory of nonclinical compounds, samples, and reference materials for in vivo studies across various groups.
  • Learn new techniques quickly and continuously improve the efficiency of in vivo and ex vivo workflows across teams.
