Animal Caretaker (Tierpfleger)

Proclinical is seeking a Laboratory Animal Technician to join a leading global pharma company, supporting preclinical studies through high-quality animal care & in-life experiment support in a fully regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver hands-on care, monitoring & husbandry of laboratory rodents, ensuring welfare & compliance with animal protection standards.
• Support in vivo studies, including dosing, handling, identification & euthanasia under scientific direction.
• Maintain high hygiene & operational standards, including cage processing, facility cleaning & environmental monitoring.
• Prepare and manage animals for studies, including receipt, housing, allocation & transport within the facility.
• Act as a key contact for researchers, supporting correct procedures, setup & use of equipment.
• Record data, report health issues & ensure full compliance with SOPs, HSE & regulatory frameworks.

Role Requirements:

• Experience in laboratory animal care or similar (1+ year)
• Background working with rodents in a research or regulated setting
• English and/or German communication skills
• Comfortable working in a controlled, compliance-driven environment
• Willingness for weekend rota (365-day operation)
• Open to working in a specialist unit (full training provided)
