Proclinical are recruiting for a VP, Finance to join a CRO. This role is on a permanent basis and is located in Paris.
Responsibilities:
- Handle and develop the team.
- Monitor the treasury function for the group and limit the group's exposure to interest rate and foreign exchange risks.
- Serve as a business partner, improving financial information to meet the requirements of both internal and external shareholders.
- Contribute to the management of cross-functional projects, recognising accounting and tax impacts.
- Ensure the reliability of the business's accounts and the formation of financial and account documents in compliance with legislation.
- Outline and assist with the execution of financial information systems.
- Oversee personnel and divisions accountable for financial and accounting actions and guide the function through decided concerns, personnel development and training.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Obtained initial training of a high level, such as Grande Ecole de Commerce or Engineering.
- Familiarity with industrial groups as well as know-how of the pharmaceutical section, or at least novelty would be ideal.
- Global exposure with fluency in English.
- Demonstrable experience within a consulting or external audit firm with preferably structuring experience in big four though acquaintance within audit and transaction services is desirable.
- Expertise on finance, accounting, taxation, internal control and mastery of different accounting and financial techniques such as financing, investments, processes, performance measurement, etc.
- Knowledge of listed of listed settings both US and Euronext.
- Expertise on accounting and financial information ideas and systems.
- Know-how of French and global accounting standards such as IFRS, US Gaap and SOX guidelines.
- Prior involvement in transversal and hierarchical management of teams.
- Knowledge of modelling procedures and practices for writing summaries.
- Acquaintance with risk analysis and assessment, as well as communication and animation tools.
- Project management experience.
- Capable of guiding and managing teams with technical abilities in numerous areas of knowledge such as accounting, treasury etc.
- Communication skills both verbally and in writing with the ability to deliberate.
- Able to anticipate the economic and financial consequences of daily events.
- Attains rigour and intellectual integrity.
- A curious individual with the ability to outline pertinent action management indicators.
