Proclinical are recruiting a VP Biology - Genomics for a biotech organisation. This role is on a permanent basis and is located in Cambridge.

Responsibilities:

Guide the biology team for content and perspective, guaranteeing optimal performance of their job and affiliated accountabilities.
You will present the projects and company at pertinent meetings such a R&D conferences.
Responsible for serving as the scientific lead in conversations with pharma, biotech and possible customers, focusing on instigating tactical partnerships.
Offer scientific guidance and technical direction, knowledge and oversight.
Collaborate with senior management to review clinical candidates and design and implement pertinent additional research concerning the mechanism of action, amalgamation methods and new indications.
Other duties may be assigned to this role.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Educated to an advanced degree level in a molecular biology, immunology or similar biomedical discipline from an accredited establishment.
At least 10+ years of experience working in a biotech/pharmaceutical organisation, ideally within a technology platform organisation.
Scientific knowledge in immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and connected scientific field.
Technical knowledge in immunology, immune-connected biology, biochemistry, molecular biology and linked scientific fields.
Familiarity in handling multidisciplinary teams within a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical organisation, with acquaintance in target development from discovery to marketing approval.
Prior involvement in authoring regulatory documents to assist with IND filings.
Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
Interpersonal abilities.
Familiarity in forming and advancing industry partnerships.
Acquaintance with due diligence of business development prospects.
