Vice President, Project Management - Permanent - Remote

Proclinical Staffing is seeking a Vice President, Project Management to join a cutting-edge medical care organization. This is a permanent role with the opportunity to work remotely in Toronto.

Primary Responsibilities

The Vice President, Project Management will report directly to the CTO and will be responsible for leading a team of project managers and project coordinators in the successful execution of all strategic and operational initiatives. This role will require a strategic and analytical thinker who can effectively manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments to deliver results.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Possessing a bachelor's degree in project management, computer science, or a relevant field is required for this role, with a master's degree considered advantageous.
  • Minimum 8 years of extensive experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Expertise in portfolio management frameworks, methodologies, and governance structures.
  • Strong analytical skills to prioritize projects based on business needs and resource availability.
  • Ability to align project initiatives with overall organizational objectives
  • Proven ability to recruit, train, and mentor high-performing teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
  • Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and issues.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • PMP certification preferred

The Vice President, Project Management will:

  • Lead the project management team in the development and execution of all strategic and operational initiatives across the Network.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Prioritize projects based on the Board/business needs and resource availability.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, including account management, creative, and technology, to ensure alignment and integration of projects with client objectives and overall agency strategy.
  • Manage project risks and issues and escalate as necessary.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and implement best practices in project management.
  • Develop and maintain project management processes, tools, and templates.
  • Continue to evolve the Portfolio Management Framework including project management methodologies, governance, tools, project team organization structures, identification of risks, decision making responsibilities, etc.
  • Perform Resource Management and Smoothing to ensure that all resources are allocated appropriately
