An exciting opportunity has arisen to step into the role of Vice President of Clinical Development for Infectious Diseases. In this role you will be expected to provide medical leadership to infectious diseases clinical programmes from phase I-III. You will work cross functionally across product, development and clinical teams to ensure the best results.

Job Responsibilities

Lead a team of medical directors providing medical leadership to cross functional product development teams and clinical teams.
Be accountable for all medical/clinical development deliverables of a study/program
Ensure Medical oversight and supervision of clinical trials, continuous risk benefit evaluation, clinical trial analysis and reporting
Establish strong working relationships with clinical investigators and study sites, other clinical experts in the field and clinical development departments of pharma partners
Oversee preparation of clinical trial data publications and presentations for scientific conferences
Closely collaborate with the pharmacovigilance/ safety department to ensure adequate safety/ pharmacovigilance oversight for the assigned products including periodic safety review and signal detection in collaboration
Represent and interact with experts, clinical investigators and CROs, at investigator meetings, scientific advisory board meetings and scientific conferences
Support business development department in evaluation of partnership opportunities

Skills & Qualifications

MD with minimum 10 years clinical/pharmaceutical development experience in a pharma/ biotech environment with a minimum of 5 years' experience in development in infectious diseases/vaccinology
Experience across all phases of clinical development (phase I- III) is desirable
Interested in establishing therapeutic and prophylactic concepts in various disease areas not limited to infectious diseases, from the clinical development perspective and to interact with disease experts in these fields
Sound knowledge of English language
