Proclinical is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support quality control operations by ensuring the availability and compliance of laboratory consumables and materials.
Primary Responsibilities:
In this role, you will perform analytical testing, maintain laboratory equipment, and manage documentation related to quality incidents. This position is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in laboratory practices while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Requirements:
- Background in Supply Chain, Engineering, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
- Familiarity with analytical chemistry or microbiology laboratory techniques.
- Experience in materials or consumables management, preferably in a GMP-regulated environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, JDE) and inventory management tools (e.g., Ariba).
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain precise documentation.
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 35 lbs, and work in controlled environments with protective equipment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and supplemental hours as needed.
The Lab Technician's responsibilities will be:
- Conduct routine analytical testing on raw materials using standard laboratory techniques.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Manage documentation for quality incidents, deviations, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of laboratory consumables to ensure timely availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Support consumable change control processes and regulatory inspections by providing documentation and expertise.
- Adhere to safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Analyze data to identify trends and potential issues in manufacturing processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control methods.
- Maintain accurate records of consumable specifications and change controls.
- Assist in laboratory investigations and deviations as needed.
