Do you have a passion for life sciences and interest in pharmaceuticals and drug development?

Are you articulate, analytical, and eager to learn how to leverage those skills into a successful sales career in the Life Sciences?

If you answered yes, then Proclinical would like to hear from you. Our Philadelphia office is growing rapidly, and we are actively seeking a high-performing Recruitment Consultant Trainee to support our Contract Staffing division.

Proclinical is a life sciences service provider that has expanded rapidly, growing by 650% over the past 5 years to a current turnover of $47m and with an annual staff turnover of less than 4%. Proclinical has been proudly offering a high-quality, premium recruitment service for over a decade. Our model has proven successful in the global markets we serve in Europe, Asia, and the United States.

Simply put, we provide expert recruitment, executive search, and contract staffing services to leading pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, medical device manufacturers and contract research organizations globally.

As a Recruitment Consultant Trainee, you will be provided with world-class training, upward mobility, great benefits, and pay in direct proportion to your achievements. Paired with an experience mentor and equipped with the most advanced networking tools, your main responsibility will be to reach out and engage with scientific candidates on behalf of our clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Actively source, network, advertise, headhunt, and speak with a diverse variety of potential scientific candidates
  • Screen each candidate for the right skills and experience needed, as well making sure that the location and financial expectations fit, while simultaneously selling the job opportunity
  • Prepare candidates for interviews, extend offers, and ultimately close deals in collaboration with your Consultant mentor.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related
  • Ability to leverage scientific knowledge to communicate effectively with leading individuals in the pharmaceutical/biotechnological/medical device industries.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize with a strong sense of urgency
  • Competitive, positive attitude, high energy
  • High level of personal motivation and accountability

In addition to adhering to our core values of Delivery, Knowledge, & Trust, the other raw skills that we look for are:

  • People skills: An ability to lead a conversation, to influence, and most importantly the ability to ask the right questions, in the right way, and to listen carefully to what people say in response. If you are good at talking but even better at listening, then keep reading.
  • Drive: A willingness to work hard and a determination to succeed. You can be shown the path to success but only you can walk down it. You will be given a lot of freedom to explore your own style, and are trusted to work hard. Undoubtedly, competitiveness and self-motivation are key to success in this role.
  • Science: You will be expected to learn all about the pharmaceutical industry and drug development life cycle from our structured training, your mentor & senior consultants, reading journals, and speaking with industry professionals every day. If you have worked in Life Sciences before or have a degree in science, this will certainly help, but only if you also have the Drive to succeed, and the People Skills.

If you are interested in pursuing this role, we encourage you to apply immediately. Our team is actively reviewing resumes, and if your application meets the qualifications for the role, we will reach out to arrange an initial telephone interview. This will be an opportunity for both parties to ask questions, get to know each other, and determine if there is a potential match. The final stage would be to come into our Philadelphia office for a formal in-person interview with the team.
