Proclinical is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager of Scientific Communications for a global pharmaceutical company located in Santa Monica, CA. Successful candidate will have an advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, Pharm D, MD, MS) and 6+ years of experience in biotech, pharmaceutical or medical device company, Contract Research Organization, Medical Communications Agency.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute advisory board meetings, investigator meetings, coordinate congress booth activities, along with other key deliverables.
  • Work with medical directors, cross-functional stakeholders and medical affairs team members as well as external vendors.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional team to deliver on advisory board meeting and congress plans.
  • Conduct congress kickoff, alignment, and debrief sessions with key stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute investigator events.
  • Create and manage timelines to execute on meeting/congress deliverables.
  • Manage external vendors to support deliverable development.
  • Collaborate across stakeholders to drive timely execution of deliverables.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in life science (PhD, Pharm D, MD, MS) preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in industry (eg, biotech/pharmaceutical/medical device company, Contract Research Organization, Medical Communications Agency), including 3+ years in oncology.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, budget management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience organizing and conducting advisory board meetings, investigator meetings for medical affairs, clinical affairs.
  • Experience with organizing scientific congress booths or large events.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and collaborative skills with individuals, groups, and senior management (internal and external).
  • Experience organizing and conducting advisory board meetings, investigator meetings for medical affairs, clinical affairs.
  • Experience with organizing scientific congress booths or large events.
  • Experience in hematology/oncology and/or immuno-oncology or related therapeutic area preferred.
  • Working knowledge of medical affairs, clinical, legal, regulatory functions; pre- and post-launch experience is strongly preferred.
