Proclinical is seeking a Sr Manager Public Policy & Government Affairs (f/m/d) to join our client in Munich and/or Berlin.



About This Role:
The Sr Manager, Public Policy & Governmental Affairs (PPGA) will be responsible for the development, maintenance and utilization of contacts and networks with decision-makers in self-government and representatives of healthcare policy environment in Germany with a focus on Berlin area. The aim is to strengthen the image as a company with innovative and biosimilar pharmaceutical products for the treatment of serious diseases. The incumbent will be monitoring and giving input for analysis of legislative developments as well as leading the implementation of actions and customer-specific argumentations. This will include the coordination of cross-functional activities with regards to health outcome research, as well as to Market Access strategic matters of the whole product portfolio.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, maintain and utilize access to the relevant health policy opinion leaders and decision makers, especially at the working level, in committees and institutions of self-government and politics in Berlin:
  • Development, maintenance and stakeholder management within sustainable relationship networks
  • Representation of the company's positions towards the defined target group
  • Ensuring access for other representatives of the company
  • Accountability for creation of a framework for the compnay and recognition of the innovative products and Biosimilars portfolio within health policy decision-makers
  • Independent planning, organization and implementation of cross-functional events with self-government and politics in Berlin
  • Early information on relevant policy developments and cross-functional alignment on assessment of opportunities and risks for the company including the responsibility for development of positions and materials for positioning the company in the target group
  • Coordination and collaboration with other members of the European PPGA function to develop and implement advocacy plans to support the business objectives through a pan-European public policy advocacy strategy

Who You Are:
The ideal candidate for this role should be a strong networker within the national health policy environment and shall drive projects and initiatives with a high level of independence while closely aligning with all relevant cross-functions. The incumbent will be required to pro-actively identify opportunities as well as to accordingly position the interests within relevant communities and interest groups.

Required Skills:

    • Academic qualification in Life Sciences, Business Administration or an equivalent relevant education complemented by relevant experience
    • 7+ years of relevant work experience including 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and at least 3 years of experience in the context of governmental affairs including an active and relevant network
    • Strong background and experience in SGB V, AMG, AMR context
    • Willingness to work and collaborate in a cross-functional team
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills
    • Pro-active self-starter and independent team worker
    • Fluency in German and English
