Proclinical is partnering with a leading clinical supply chain firm to advertise a vacancy for a Sourcing and Procurement Associate - Healthcare position. The organization, which prides itself on its leading presence in the field of end-to-end global clinical and ancillary supply chain management, is seeking for a driven and talented individual to join its Singapore-based office, located near the Expo MRT Station. The Sourcing and Procurement Associate will provide support to Business Operations, act as the primary point of contact, and provide implementation for the purchase order process. They will assist the Procurement Manager with managing the sourcing of ancillary clinical supplies for worldwide clinical trials for Global pharmaceutical companies and Contract Research Organizations. Additionally, this position will assist with the quote process and supplier qualifications. Finally, the Sourcing and Procurement Associate will act as primary point of contact for any and all receiving discrepancies including missing PO reference, quantity discrepancies, and incorrect materials.
Job Responsibilities:
- Creating and executing RFPs and RFQs.
- Building supply plans together with subsequent structured information analysis and business requirements.
- Conducting detailed supplier and supply market analysis looking at facts, trends, and data analysis.
- Partnering with and supporting Business Operations in order to execute continuous learning and product awareness programs for procurement and project management colleagues.
- Ensuring that supplier qualification criteria are being met.
- Assisting with the completion of supplier contracts, confidentiality agreements, credit applications, and other documents as required.
- Ensuring the appropriate contingency and remediation plans are in place for supply plans.
- Tracking supply delivery alerting internal stakeholders of estimated delivery times, changes in those times, and holding the supplier accountable for meeting agreed upon dates/times.
- Ensuring that company funds are expended for clinical supplies in compliance with the corporate grant of authority table and in conjunction with approved supply plans.
- Enhancing the department and organization by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different opportunities in the spirit of continuous improvement and providing a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
Skills and Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of sourcing and procurement experience.
- Mandarin-speakers required as some vendors are based in China.
- Keen interest to move into healthcare industry.
- Eager to learn about sourcing and procurement for medical equipment.
- Working knowledge of total sourcing spectrum from need identification to contract execution, including stakeholder and supplier management.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Collaborative mindset, aptitude to embrace change and high degree of adaptability to work through ambiguous and dynamic situations.
- Ability to respond to calls outside office hours (twice a week calls at night at 9pm, 30 minutes each, with global HQ).
- Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
- Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
- Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
