Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Senior Research Associate to join our client's team. This role focuses on assessing the efficacy, safety, and translatability of new therapies for non-malignant hematological disorders, particularly hemoglobinopathies. You will be part of an international team working with cell-culture based in vitro models to develop future medicines. Your expertise in cell culture assays and in vitro techniques such as flow cytometry and qPCR will be crucial.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Work with transgenic mouse models, including injections and tissue collection.
  • Conduct downstream ex vivo assays like multi-color flow cytometry, qPCR, and western blotting.
  • Handle cell lines, primary cells, and patient-derived tissues.
  • Collaboratively design, execute, and interpret study data, contributing to assay optimization.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and communicate findings effectively.
  • Foster a positive work environment through collaboration and shared responsibilities.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Degree in Life Sciences (MSc/BSc) or equivalent apprenticeship with relevant experience.
  • Authorization for animal experimentation (e.g., LTK1, FELASA).
  • Experience with rodent handling and tissue sampling.
  • Proficiency in cell culture and in vitro molecular assays.
  • Strong organizational skills and fluency in English.
  • Collaborative spirit and excellent data management abilities.
  • Experience in flow cytometry and knowledge in immunology/hematopoiesis are advantageous.
