Proclinical is seeking a Senior VAT Accountant to focus on managing VAT-related tasks and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in preparing and submitting VAT returns, supporting audits, and collaborating with various teams to address VAT matters. This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to work across different time zones.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual VAT returns, Intrastat reports, and EU Sales Listings.
Ensure timely VAT payments and follow up on refunds.
Perform VAT accounts reconciliations and analysis.
Support VAT audits and liaise with local tax authorities.
Verify compliance of purchase and sales invoices from a VAT perspective.
Address system issues related to SAP in collaboration with IT.
Proactively identify VAT risks.
Configure and maintain the ERP system.
Document and recommend business requirements for VAT/GST compliance processes.
Collaborate with internal teams for VAT-related matters.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Academic background in accounting or tax.
Experience in accounting; VAT experience is advantageous.
Proficient in Excel and other MS applications.
Fluent in English and German, both written and verbal.
Additional languages are a plus.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work flexibly.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Eligibility to work in Germany.
