Senior Scientist, RNAi - Contract - Lexington, MA

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and innovative Senior Scientist specializing in RNAi.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be involved in siRNA drug candidate screening, hit identification, and lead optimization. They will also contribute to research projects aimed at optimizing the GalXCTM platform and produce high-quality technical reports for internal use and regulatory documents.

Skills & Requirements:

PhD in cell or molecular biology or a related field, ideally with 2 or more years post-degree experience preferably in drug discovery and in an industry setting.
Expertise in cellular and molecular biology is essential (e.g., mammalian cell culture; cell-based assays; quantitative real-time PCR).
Experience with siRNA/microRNA biology is desired.
Proficiency in animal handling, dosing, and necropsy is desired.
Ability to perform and interpret experiments rigorously and reliably, and to advance projects aggressively towards defined goals is expected.
A true team player with a high degree of energy and a passion for contributing to the discovery and development of novel therapeutics.
Strong oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to contribute effectively to group projects in a team-oriented environment.
Innovative and creative; takes initiative.

The Senior Scientist, RNAi's responsibilities will be:

Conduct siRNA drug candidate screening, hit identification, and lead optimization.
Utilize cellular and molecular biology methodologies, such as mammalian cell culture, in vitro screening, cell-based assays, and PCR.
Perform in vivo drug candidate testing, including mouse dosing and sample analysis.
Innovate and advance research projects aimed at optimizing the GalXCTM platform.
Produce high-quality technical reports and summaries for internal use and inclusion in key regulatory documents.
