Proclinical are recruiting for a Senior Scientist RNA Therapies to join a biotech organisation. This role is on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

You will drive novel research on in vitro and in vivo non-viral direct reprogramming modalities, with particular focus on dendritic cell reprogramming and tumor targeting.
Responsible for developing functional and analytical strategies to characterise RNA-based vectors.
Review RNA based platform ex-vivo efficiency in human monolayer models in terms of cDC1 reprogramming efficacy.
The ideal candidate will design, plan, and implement scientific experiments independently to complete program and company goals within designated timelines.
Gather and document primary data to uphold updated records.
You will analyse, summarise data in reports and discuss the results to the company's R&D and executive leadership team.
Other duties may be assigned.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Educated to an advanced degree level in Biomedicine, Cell Biology, Immunology, Cancer Biology or a similar discipline, with demonstrable experience in academic or industrial setting.
Familiarity with overall in vitro 2D cell culture practices.
Acquaintance within the development and application of tumor biology-related in vitro assays, which involves multi-colour flow cytometry for immune profiling, FACS, T-cell cytotoxicity assays, complex cell-based functional assays, for example: antigen presentation and cancer cell cytotoxicity.
Prior involvement in RNA biology and development of RNA-based gene therapy vectors, molecular cloning, vector production, encapsulation in nanoparticles and in vivo delivery would be beneficial.
Experience within in vivo/in situ gene therapy and cell reprogramming would be advantageous.
